DHT22 Temperature/Humidity Module
#1

I came to solder my DHT22 module onto the RX board and I found that if I solder it directly the overhang either side of the pins does not allow it to fit as it overlaps the LCD holes next to it and is very close to wireless receiver.

Then I looked at the pictures of Werk_AG's boards and low and behold there is KF2510 4 pin block with wires leading off presumably to the DHT22 module.

Is this what you should do?

You are completely right.
It is preferable not to have the DHT22 on the board, the slight heating of the board components influences the readings of the sensor (especially if the receiver is placed inside a box).
In my systems I always use an extra connector (4pin KF2510 as you said) for the DHT22, and connect it with 10 to 20cm wires.
Usually I glue the back side of the sensor on the outside of the project box, this gives me more accurate readings of ambiente temperature / humidity.

The most right connector with the black, yellow and red wires goes to DHT22.

My DHT22 has four pins, so which one do you not connect to as you only have 3 wires?

OK thank you Werk_AG, but I will ask the thick question, NC = No connection?

Yes

Thanks uncle_bob.

OK just getting my RX board ready and the pins on the board for the DHT22 are not all labelled. Right two are labelled Dat (Data?) and Ucc (NC) so which of the left pins is VCC and which is GND?

I believe your RX board is a v3.00.
I know letters are very small, but there is no Ucc.

DHT22 ----- Board
VCC -------- Vcc
DATA ------- Dat
GND -------- Any of the no labeled pins
