I'm under way

In some cases, board designs and software beta releases are available to Developers / Testers, months before they are publicly released.
So, uncle_bob already have the software since sometime...

What do you mean with this? Please bear in mind that English is not my natural language, and I have difficulty in understanding some expressions.
What is the problem? Is it not working? Or is about the readings don't update at the speed you wish?

Hi Werk,
You may have to cast your mind back awhile, The problem with the TMP36 was that the data output was different to the LM36 (LM36 can not read negative temperatures)

Cheers Bob

Hi uncle_bob
That problem was corrected since you discovered it long time ago.
Just in case, I have checked the last software release, and it's set for the TMP36. Is it not working for you?

It may have some other problem, but "read 70-ish" to me don't say nothing.

Cheers Werk_AG

Yes Sir, I understand. I just wanted to be clear on what I was actually looking at since it looked like a normal RX board to my eyes.

I understand about the latter part. I cannot hardly speak any other languages. Personally I think your English is of a very good standard indeed.

By "still read 70-ish", I was referring to a time when uncle_bob was seeing values coming from (I assumed) his TMP36 which were e.g. 71,72,73...79 Farenheit or similar values approx., and he thought there was a problem with it, he described it here ;-

http://www.meteocercal.info/forum/Thread...163#pid163

...to quote uncle_bob ;- "I've also replaced the TMP36. Still reading in the 70's.", and from post #44 ;- "I believe the TMP36 is actually reporting Fahrenheit instead of Celsius"

...and there was no more mention of it from your or him in this topic so I was just curious as to whether the problem was solved?

You mean you had installed an LM36 instead of a TMP36 ? Or do you mean that you were using programming code that assumed the presence of an LM36 and that you had a TMP36 installed instead?

You're most welcome Werk_AG. Really it's me that should be doing the thanking for making this project available to me and everyone else.

Sure, I'll post up more later.

It, to me, looks like the WeatherDuino is doing a better job without spikes.

In other good news, the supplier of my WS3081 is sending out some new cups for my anemometer, free of charge so I will soon start sending wind data again!

Hi Uncle_Bob

Where did you get the replacement cups for your anemometer from?
I have had a little accident and now only have 2 cups. Plus the bearing has some tight spots when it rotates.
Did you get your unit from jaycar?

Man, those ebay replacements are expensive! Check out the prices at Maplins, they're like 3 pounds vs 23 dollars!

I did find you get a replacement from Argent data systems

https://www.argentdata.com/catalog/produ...cts_id=175

But did not know what the freight would be like.

Uncle_Bob was able to get free replacement from the supplier that he had bought his unit from.
