On the parts list for the RX board in Misc Components it mentions JP3 (3 pin Jumper (Voltage selector for BMP module)) but on the board I can only see JP1.
Is this a typo and secondly what exactly is this? Is it a 3 pin jumper on which you use a 2 pin jumper to select the voltage to either get 3.3v or 5v?

I don't have a board yet, but looking at the picture of a v2 one, the JP3 is between the Nano and the Bi-colour LED (LD1).

Yes. it selects the voltage to the BMP.

Your RX board is a v3.00 one. I think you are looking to parts list for a v2.01 board.
Please donwload the parts list for your board here.

Yes. It is a 3 pin jumper on which you use a 2 pin jumper to select the voltage for the BMP module. Some supported BMP modules use 3.3V others 5V. If possible, when you buy the BMP module, chose one what works with 5V. Some of the new, even cheaper, BMP180 modules, works well too

Scroll down on the WeatherDuino Pro2 - RX 3.00 Parts List topic, and you will find images of some supported BMP modules.

In picture bellow, you can see a 5 Volt BMP180 module, installed on a v3.00 board, just like yours.
This picture is also a good reference for positioning the modules on the board.

Don't know why I haven't noticed this before but the 3.0 Parts list mentions VP1 and VP2 but they are not marked on the board.

I assume they are the 2 two holes to the left of the SWT in the photo above. I can see VP2 is not in use as in the Parts list so I assume the one next to SWT is VP1 and it is the On/OFF switch.

As I am going to always have my RX board ON do I need this switch?

Hello water01,
VP1 it's kind of a programming mode selector. In one position it prevents arduino from reset when cumulus (re)start (normal usage), in another position, it allows arduino to reset (just needed if/when you want to flash new firmware version).

If your pcb is 3.01 or later, i believe that you can find VP1 and VP2 marked on the board, in older pcb without those marks (I'm not sure which versions does not have the pins/mark) , it's easy to add the connection as well.

Yes VP1 is next to the SWT (which is display mode button). VP1 is the programming jumper you need it in place to stop resets when communicating to Cumulus over the USB connection. You only remove this jumper when programming the unit.

VP2 IIRC is the jumper you need on only if you are using the easyweather dat file format.

As written in the previous two posts, you need this switch to work in Davis VP2 emulation mode. It must be at on position, before you start Cumulus, and must be off when you are going to program your Arduino.
