Newbie hw question...
#1

Hi, I need to interface the auriol station to the pc and save data by cumulus sw or equivalent for web site... reading on the site I undestand that the rx board is only hw that i need.... so i start to recover the components....
so, this is the questions :
I have an OOK AM module from aurel, the RX-4MM5 is compatible? (with pin to pin adaptation.....i think)
The TX module is necessary for use the board (I don't need remote lcd)?

Thank you very mutch

Yes. I've used the same receiver for 3 years with good reception.

The Aurel the RX-4MM5 is a very good receiver, and it works great to receive data from the Auriol weather stations, however to use it on the RX board some pin adaptation should be done which may affect the receive sensibility.
Think carefully if it worth. The recommended RXB6 modules costs less than 3€ on eBay.
If you decide to go with the Aurel receiver, you have to disable the AGC, putting the pin to a low state.

If you don't plan to use any wireless display unit, you can not install the TX module.
