I just upgraded my RX, TX, and WD boards to the 1.5 firmware. Since then, I'm noticing odd behavior on the WD unit. Whenever it receives a packet (the LED on the board flashes), it writes the atmospheric pressure on the screen for a split second (though it appears to be out of place), and then it restarts. The date is back to 1/1/70, the clock is back to 00:00:00, and none of the fields on the screen show any data. I assume this isn't normal behavior, and it probably has something to do with my config settings, so I've attached both config.h files.
I checked the WD software, and it seems there is a bug when inHg are used as pressure unit. I will publish an updated version as soon as possible, maybe even tomorrow.
Thank you for reporting the problem.
I might need to post on its own thread but I am also having rebooting issues with the WD board. It reboots every 54seconds without fail. I have tried RX and TX live and with out. It gets some updates but no clock info as it does not have time to get around to it.
I am using my laptop to power the WD and RX boards, this should not matter as the WD board reboots at the same time every time. This started after I uploaded firmware 1.4, it also does the same in 1.5. I am yet to try 1.3 just yet but will do soon.
Surely we will find what is causing the reboots.
Trying to go to backward versions may not be the best way, so I suggest you to upgrade all units to the latest software release. Also remember that different software release numbers are not compatible among them. Maybe is not the case, but anyway never mix units with software v1.4 with others with software v1.5
- After upgrading all the units, power up TX unit, then power up (after configured) RX unit.
- Make sure RX unit starts correctly, and it is receiving data from TX unit.
- Power up WD unit.
When testing, don't keep the units very close to each other, keep at least one meter between them. These things are designed to work several meters apart from each others.
Please report what happens after executing the above procedures.
Notes: Latest RX software requires a fully working TX unit to successfully complete initialization sequence, if you don't have a fully working TX unit, start RX unit in Test Mode.
In all cases, and this is a info for everybody, never try to test a unit that is not fully assembled with all the required parts and sensors connected to it.

Was the reported problem solved?
It's hard to help without feedback.
Yes yes. Sorry. I did try as suggested, ie new firmware and distances and test mode. It stopped rebooting. Only now rx board shows only seconds of time. Hours and minutes is blank.sorry hectic times here. New baby,
