New 4 Pro RX success
#1

Just found my partially built 4 Pro RX/TX units in the back of a cupboard that have been hiding since 2022, couple of quick hours soldering and I am up and running with comms over LORA.
Really impressed with the greatly increased range and reliability so far, couple of questions so far.

1. What do the 2 LEDs labelled COMLED AND RXLED on the Rx indicate?
2. On the forecast page the times are 11:59, 14:59,  etc instead of 12:00, 15:00 etc can this be fixed?

I love that I can scrape the data so easily from the units JSON interface, am currently showing this on an ESP32 e-ink display, I'll post here when the project is complete if others might be interested?

Hello Andy,

I'm happy to know that even after a few years, you decided to finish the project and that everything worked out.
LoRa is a great improvement over older 433MHz versions.

1. CONLED should blink everytime there is communication with Cumulus. RXLED should blink everytime the RX receive a data pacaket from the TX unit.

2. I understand your point, but actually it isn't properly an error, initial time depends on the time first forecast was fetched, further nubers are initial time plus 3 hours. So it could happen to be 11h45, 14h45, 17h45 and so on.

Scrape the data from the unit in JSON format is a powerful for those you know what to do with them. I believe that your project of dispay the the data in a e-ink screen will be interesting for many of us, so, if you want, please fell free to share it on the forum.

Kind regards
