Temperature value freezes - Auriol Weather Station

Hi Marco,

Usually i try to use this rule:
- If on the new software, only the build number was changed , usually you can use the Config_Options.h and Credentials.h files from previous build.
- If the software version number was changed, its better revise the Config_Options.h and Credentials.h on the new software, and copy the corresponding values from the previous version.

Ex:
- Upgrade from P2ESP8266_RX_v3.1_b010 to 2ESP8266_RX_v3.1_b012 -> Usually you can use the Config_Options.h and Credentials.h files from previous build.

- Upgrade from P2ESP8266_RX_v3.0_bxxx to 2ESP8266_RX_v3.1_xxx -> Its better revise the Config_Options.h and Credentials.h on the new software.

In any case when using config files from a previous version, after open the software on the IDE, its highly recommended that you edit the info on the top of the Config_Options.h file.
Ex:

Quote:// --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
// WeatherDuino Pro2 Compact RF Receiver - Version: P2ESP8266_RX_v3.1_b012
// Start of user configurable options
// --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Caniera for your detailed information.

From 21:50 local time, I too have installed the new firmware version b012.
I keep you updated and you can see the graphs on WU
ISPINE2

However the Precipition Rate went high after the update

Hi,
Have you tried a factory reset after the software upgrade?
If for any reason the batteries are removed / replaced on the rain gauge, then a factory reset of the receiver is always needed.

From what I can see right now (UTC 1:38 - 23-01-2020) on WU pages of both of you, everything seems right.

UPDATE: UTC 20:27 - 23-01-2020)
WU pages of both of you continue to show results without freezes or spikes of any kind.

Hi, now I tried to do the factory reset (after the update), and the value dropped to zero immediately. I hope it is ok, tomorrow I will try to reset the D1 mini to check the behavior.

What data does the factory reset clear?

Today no temperature lock with the new firmware.

Haven't you saw your own graphs? So, why a new "factory reset" and a planned reset of the D1 for tomorrow?

Image bellow is from xxDvDxx, which is running since yesterday... untouched I think.

Hi, Caneira
I also did the factory reset on the previous firmware release, but nothing had changed.
Now I did it again to see if anything had changed. The value of the Precipition Rate went to zero, but then I saw that it returned high after...
I wanted to redo the D1 reset because the problem of the Precipition Rate value that goes high, occurs every time for some reason the voltage drops and the module resets.

Then after this value drops, the Precipition Rate presents correct and real values like today.

thanks

Hi Marco,

It looks that it is working as it should!

Power outages of any kind, always will cause problems with the rain calculations. Our receivers don't have batteries to keep the current calculations in case of a power outage. For a production system no matter it is a Pro2 PLUS or a Pro2 Compact, its quite important have it powered through a UPS, or build the mini UPS designed by Engolling, which uses only two Lithium batteries. The mini UPS project is available on the forum here: https://www.meteocercal.info/forum/Threa...rDuino-UPS
