rookie error
#1

My boards arrived today, a TX and a RX Pro 2Plus !!!
I haven't received all my other bits yet. But I did receive my Mega 2560 and Nano.

But I didn't pay enough attention to the Mega2560 I purchased, I bought one with slightly different pin arrangement. It is slightly wider. I was trying to save postage by getting the Nano and Meduino Mega2560 R3 from the same supplier.

Oh well.. I've now ordered the correct board.

Oh well, at least you have a Arduino you can muck around with now.
I think you will find this stuff fun and frustrating at the same time. Well at least I do Smile

Hi,

Don't forget to carefully read this post: https://meteocercal.info/forum/Thread-We...49#pid6249

Do your best to resist to the temptation to "test" an unfinished board. Only apply power to the RX board after having everything needed connected to it: TFT, T/H sensor, ATM sensor, Program /RUN switch, etc. Attempts to "test" unfinished RX boards are the most frequent cause of damages.
Always start by building the TX unit first.

Cheers,
I will resist testing until finished.

I'm still waiting on the RF modules, temp/hum/bar sensors, some header sockets and pins, and the SMA PCB mount sockets. Otherwise I have the other components except for the new Meduino Mega2560 R3 I've just ordered.

Smile
