Wifi module

Our power was off for several hours on Friday and I didn't receive any emails from Wunderground telling me that they'd stopped receiving data from my weather station (or started receiving it again) like I normally do when the power drops off.

I would not worry about this. I used to receive those messages after about an hour being off, and congratulated when back on. Never receive them anymore since several months ago. The gold star never appears anymore on mine either, yet the neighbour's never disappears.

No mine hasnt been showing up on WU for like 3 months...When it was up at my farm it was doing this and its still doing it here at home..different connections. The wifi message is all ok. I will post it when I fire up my other mac I use for arduino stuff.

I like to think my gold star is because I've got great data these days.
My wifi has been feeding WU faultlessly since I replaced my ESP.

My wifi logs onto the router fine. I can see it and the debug says it fires up ok but WU doesnt see it...was that the same issue?..I watched your video..I love that new display too

I dont think I am having issues with my WiFi module, at least I have not considered it. The green dots are always on at least. I did need to replace the temperature and humidity sensor again as the humidity went bust once more, but that was ages ago. I contemplated perhaps the air quality data is too much for them at the moment. The other thing is the NBN we are now on, but the neighbouring one should be on it unless they have not cut over yet. On the whole we have been o.k, though the last two weeks the evenings have been infuriating. Could not even pay a bill the other night.

Edit: I see you send AQI to Wunderground too, so cannot be it.

The 3 led on the display on the top left on mine since it does not go to WU has been top and bottom are green but the middle one is red

What does this mean I havent seen anything on them. There just used to be 2 led  both were always green on the previous firmware

Yeah, if you can see the webserver on the RX unit then it does sound like your wifi is working OK.

My wind gets disturbed by the roofline of my house. On the old anemometer, I used to have a wheel on it just to add a little resistance and it helped stopping it flap all over the place. Alas I couldn't fit that mod to my new one.

I just have the standard stuff connected, earth, wind and fire, I mean rain wind and solar. Smile

Oh, did you try the WU API key instead of the user/password combo?

Hi Bob

I am not running CumulusMX....although I have just got a Pi 3 going with it running and it should connect to WU as I put the id in there but maybe because I dont have any sensors via the arduino connected yet. The ini file has my station ID and the key I use not my login password...its the same in the arduino but it still doesnt seem to work
