I have another TX board here I will build it up and just use temp and humidity  as inputs that should do

But also enable sending of wind and rain data, even don't having the sensors attached, otherwise...
Have you heard about the TWR letters on the initializing screen?        Without data from those sensors receiver won't leave the initialization screen. I'm sure you know about it, you are using WeatherDuinos since long time.
