There are several topics on the forum with the answers to all these questions, however here is a quick reply:
1- As with almost all RF signals, the range varies with several factors. Line of sight, number of concrete walls between transmitter and receiver, local conditions, etc. Usually ranges from 20 to 70 meters aren't a problem.
2) Each Receiver can receive data from up to four transmitter units (some restrictions may apply to the fourth unit)
3) Yes
4) Many of us, including me. There are some topics dedicated to this matter, try do a search by "solar power" or search for topics from the user hvalentim, he did interesting studies on this matter.
