Time for an update. I installed the SHT15 and SHT31 sensors. I was getting some flat-lining in the charts for a while and it took me a while to work out the problem. Moving the TX unit a few inches was all that was required to get the data transferring reliably. I'll play with it some more but at least I know what the problem is now. I've had decent results over the last day and a bit so here is a summary:
SHT15 Temperature range 5.3 - 18.1 degrees Celsius
SHT15 Humidity range 39 - 90%
The SHT31 temperature has never read lower than the SHT15. The reading has always been the same or higher (up to 1.0 degree higher). The average difference (on the high side) is 0.5 degrees.
The SHT31 humidity reading has been within the range 3 percentage points lower to 2 percentage points higher, with an average of 0.5 percentage points lower.
The above values are from the CumulusMX data logs (30 minute intervals).
