I am very happy with my system! Thank-you for making these weather stations possible and the continued development. As I have said before I had been on the look out for a system such as this and it does tick the boxes and more. It is a very interesting learning curve, one which I do not think will end especially as it continues to evolve.
I have taken sometime to bring mine to what it is, largely due to time constraints, and to the fact I put everything on hold when I thought there was a move on the horizon. The mast I have built was going to be a quick temporary solution just for here and now. When I started building it, things came together so perfectly that I decided it was more than temporary. Although I have not got a recent picture of the mast, it is painted.
I have pictures now of how my station's components have been put together:
I used a hand nibbling tool to cut out the screen window. Not a bad first go for never having worked with metal like this before. It was daunting, but I think it was successful. The extra switch on the left side, is redundant since the upgrade to software RX v1.4_b035. I added that so that I could turn off the LCD back light at night. It was creating a surprising brightness. I simply replaced the jumper pin controlling the light on the back for the switch.
A simple inexpensive box made for housing power boards outside, to hold the Tx board and associated wiring. All wires exit and enter at the bottom, in a specially designed gasket in the door edge. This is being powered by a small separate solar power system.
As I said the mast was going to be a temporary outfit. I've decided that would be a waste and have painted it. The material consisted of surplus pine fence railing I used in the garden. The wind sensors are mounted onto galvanised bolts. I drilled holes through the ends for a small nut and bolt to hold them still.
I still need to take a photo of the mast mounted, and that will show the rain gauge too. The temperature sensor is mounted below the Tx box for now. I have not finished the radiation shield. I am getting accurate results with it presently as this time of the year the sun is not heating its position.
All up mine is finished and operating. The tidying up is the shield, and adding my UV sensor.

In addition I will make a spot on Wunderground
