sorry for the possibly dumb question, but do you have any specific suggestion about an antenna to pick for the receiver?
I'm looking into getting all the components before settling on a board, and I've been reading good things about this kind of receiver.
I noticed you're suggesting SMA connectors for the boards, does that mean that any router antenna will work fine? Is there anything more specific for the 433MHz range?

That receiver is the right type to use with the WeatherDuino Pro2 receiver.
Try to find a bundle where the TX module have the pins with a right angle connector, it makes assembling easier.

Router antennas are not suitable, also the SMA connector is different.

Hi,
I wanted to say that before posting I tried to search on the forum but couldn't find anything. I've then read the thread you pointed me at, and from what I've been able to understand these 2 kind of antennas should be good for RX, right?

I think both will work. If you choose the first type, order the version with short cable (1.5m).

I guess it depends on your definition of "best". I'd put the best aerial on the Tx, because a poorly matched aerial results in a significant portion of the transmitter power being reflected back from the aerial to the transmitter. If both antennas have a good impedance match, but are of different designs, then it really doesn't matter which way around they are.
