Hello everyone!

I like to introduce myself.
I'm Edwin, living in Germany and i found this fantastic site a few weeks ago.

I have finished my WiFi enabled beer fridge so my next arduino project should be a weatherstation.

After weeks of trying to decode RF signals coming from my Fine Offset outdoor unit (Don't have a indoor unit) i learned that i was on the wrong way, so i decided to build the WeatherDuino. I'ts exactly what i want and why should i reinvent the wheel Wink

Rightnow i'm collecting all the parts and i'm looking forward to start building.

Welcome Edwin!

You must be impatient to start your project now Smile

There's plenty of knowledgable people on this Forum, pleased to help you if you encounter any issue. Enjoy!

Thankx everyone,

The PCB's and a lot of parts are already there. Just waiting for the China deliveries Smile

The BS250 was a hard one to get here. Ordered one at a online shop in Germany but i think it's not the right one. I'm not sure if it can be turned when soldering so also ordered e few in China with the Drain and Source swapped

Not an issue as long as you know the pinout. I bet the German shop provides the term-sheet? So you can check where each pin is located.
For example, the one I found is a SMD package I mounted underneath the PCB to match the pin-out.
With only 3 pins you can either mount yours on top or underneath the board - no other choice.

The RX board has designed for the original BS250 pinout, but it's true that some Chinese sellers are selling TP0610L marked as BS250. They are equivalent parts, but related to the BS250, the TP0610L have the Source and Drain pins swapped.

Looking to this datasheet will elucidate you better:

Welcome to a great project. Perhaps you will have the first beer fridge to be controlled by Weatherduino.

Temperature above 10C opens the fridge. I have made it a deliberately low temperature!
