Hikvision could be worth a look. I have a dome camera for security at the front of the house. It has been running just more than a year and is excellent. Records to micro SD card, is a network IP camera so can be used with PVR systems. It also sends alerts to email if you set it to, and has a fully configurable FTP panel.
I have not played with the day/night settings, although the interface suggests to me you could switch it to be one or the other, or even set a schedule to achieve.
It is a robust unit, and I believe there are pan tilt zoom models available. I got mine from Aliexpress and was here in a week. The only thing I remember is ensuring it is an international/English version so the firmware could be updated without then being stuck in Chinese. I have performed one firmware update which was required to support email to gmail when Google discontinued a protocol, and it works fine.
They have WiFi versions as well as LAN and the power over ethernet ones generally can be powered by a 12 volt adaptor plug (separate input) if no power over ethernet is available. I use power over ethernet with mine.
