Lucky guy! Smile
I'm looking to get one of these, to help me to supply the Solar / UV kits even better calibrated.

Got this lot for £57.00 (but I had to get a courier for another £60.00 to move the thing). I think the other Apogee sensor is UV, or if I am really lucky a PAR sensor. It is down at my mothers at the moment and I have not seen it yet, (Courier Brighton to Scotland would have been £400!). Still a bargain I think, I missed an identical one which did not have the anemometer it went for £27.00!).

Anyway plenty to play with.

Posted this before but interesting:

Stations about 1 metre apart on flat roof, a bit of adjustment to 1K potentiometer. Little closer than before. 5 March 2017.

If anyone wants a Didcot Instruments  DRN-301; Global Net Radiometer; 300-80,000nm, I have one to give away.

I used to work in the Reading University Engineering Department, which closed down. They were getting rid of various instruments, some of which I wanted. The lot included this radiometer, but I did not know anything about it, so it has been sitting in my garage for many years.

I can give it away, but someone needs to collect it or pay for postage for me to send it to them.

Hello David Fulford,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your offer. Personally, I would be quite happy to pay the shipping costs, but at moment I also haven't any use for it. Hope it may prove useful for any of our members, specially some which like to investigate on specialized meteorogical instruments like this one.

Kind regards

Hello Werk,

I hope all is well, Thank you for this post. I am still using WeatherDuino. Now that I am retired, I intend to build a few stations for friends nearby, so hopefully there will be several more WeatherDuino systems operating in this area over the next year. Email below sent.

Kind regards,
Jeremy

Dear Mr Fulford,

I read with interest your post on the MeteoCercal Forum. I currently have a Didcot Instruments-based “WeatherDuino” weather station working and reporting to Weather Underground Device Page.
Over the years I have acquired a number of components from weather stations based on Didcot instrumentation. I only have parts of a DRN-301; as you will know, these are designed to be mounted to measure radiation reflected from the ground as well as solar insolation from the sun. I would very much like to acquire one in better condition.
Please let me know if you would be willing and able to post to the address below. I would, of course, be more than happy to cover all postage costs.

Best regards,
Jeremy Taylor

Hello Jeremy,

I'm glad to hear you've retired, I hope everything is well with you. I'm fine, thank you. It seems that the closer I get to retirement, the more work I have at my company. Smile

When I saw Mr. Fulford's post, I thought of you, as I know you're a fan of Didcot's meteorological instruments. I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing it in operation. If I could help, just let me know.

Kind regards
