New Brisbane (Australia) WeatherDuino Station Coming Together
#61

Hi Mark, Considering that you are building the Plus version, I'd be tempted to look at the newer Bosch combined sensor. Looks good, and something that I'll have a play with in the near future. The Davis sensors are very good and built to a high standard in my opinion, however the price seems to matches the products. Ebay is always worth a look, and surprisingly I found a reasonable price on Amazon. I didn't really find much in between, and then you seem to step down to the Chinese sensors which some didn't seem to have the same resolution and I don't know how some of them will last (quality wise in the Aust sun and UV). Good luck with your build and let me know if you have any issues or Q's. Cheers for now...

Hi Mark

You have your system running Cumulus MX on a Pi for uploading to Wunderground. Can you do a copy of your image?. It would make life a lot easier. Is you Pi a 2 or a 3. I want to put this station up here at my farm and connect it to Wunderound so I can see what the weather is doing up here from home. The farm is west of Childers. I fly my own aircraft which I built and I have 2 airstrips here and it would be great to see the wind direction and strength when I am flying up here from Caboolture as well as just what is happening here. We run cattle on the property and need to know what sort of rain fall we are getting for the dams etc
