WD Date / Time update
#1

Hi
I noticed when I power up my WD all the weather info updates fairly rapidly but the date/ time takes in excess of 4 minutes.
Is this normal or an issue
Regards

The date / time on the Wireless Display units is synchronized with the main unit (RX) at each ten minutes. So that after power up, it can takes up to 10 minutes.

If you want to have the right date / time right after power up, just add a DS3231 Real Time Clock module to the WD unit.

Werk,
Thanks for that, I rarely turn them off so it is not critical and space in the WD case is scarce and difficult to add any more components

You and most of us, this is why the RTC module is not a required part for the Wireless Display units. A clock synchronized with the base station (RX) at each 10 minutes is enough to keep it accurate.
