Hi,
My Rx board is ready, i like to test this board without tx board because the parts are still on the way.
The program is downloaded, the LCD display time and date (01-01-200 00:20) and nothing else.
Is it normal that nothing else happens?
Is it possible to test something else without the tx board ?

Edit: the temp sensor is missing for the moment on the RX board, that's perhaps why the display stay on the date ?

Is good to know it is working!
As you can see you can test the RX board without an already working TX unit, but the RX should be fully built...unless you are "cheated" the software .

The boards were delivered this morning, i started to solder the components this afternoon and a good part of the project is working this evening.
Just amazing !!!
Next step is to build the TX board with my old WM918 wind and rain sensor attached.

TX and RX boards are both working with a pair of transmitter / receiver that I found in my drawers and CumulusMX is receiving the data.
Oregon wind sensor is working too.
Could someone advise me for the max cable length for the wind sensors and the rain sensor please?

Maximum cable length varies with the type of used cable and the type of the sensors . For wind vanes based on a variable resistor (like yours), up to 10 meters is a safe value for almost any cable type. Use cables suitable for outside use.

Generally the cheaper sensors (particularly FO sensors) cut costs at every point of their manufacture, one of which is the cable, which is the thinnest cheapest cable they could use, increasing cable gauge and quality and screening is one way of extending cable run and maintaining signal quality.
