WeatherDuino Pro2 + Cumulus + APRS
#1

Hi,
I want to publish wx data over aprs (http://aprs.fi) by Cumulus. Temperature and humidity data has been shown but pressure not. I asked this matter to Cumulus author. He said that "Cumulus needs to calculate Altimeter Pressure (as required by CWOP) are not being returned in response to the BARDATA command"
His final advice is "Perhaps you should ask the Weatherduino author?" Blush
Any advice?
Regards.

Hi hamix

I wasn't aware that Cumulus requires a response to BARDATA command to be able to include pressure information when uploading to APRS/CWOP. Now I understand why!
Currently WeatherDuino Pro2 does not respond to BARDATA command, but will do in next build release (b035).

Here is the output of wxnow.txt with b035:

Code:
Jun 20 2015 05:00
033/002g003t068r000p049P000h66b09994

One week or so and it will be released, maybe early, it's already done!

A lot of WeatherDuino Pro2 builders are radio amateurs too. What I saw in the link you posted, show me that being able to upload data directly from Cumulus to APRS, can be important.

Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your effort. I'll try and write results.
Regards.

Edit: I tested v1.4 b035. Fine. Now pressure data has been shown at aprs.fi.
