How do you setup the temperature and humidity sensor on the tx unit ?? Do you set it up on the outside of the case ?

That Is my understanding of how it is done. usually inside some sort of screen and a fan can also be added if you wish.
I think i read in another post that you can have several meters of lead for the Dht22 and sht-1X devices but the sht-2x devices require a shorter lead. If you were to place it inside your box with all your electronics you may get false readings from their heat, also if the box is outside it would need to be sealed from the weather, again leading to false readings.

Google " DIY Stevenson Screen " for some ideas

Also, bear in mind that the "IC2 TMP36, Temperature Sensor" (optional but recommended part) is already meant to give a reading of the temp. inside the case.

It's pretty up to what suits your environment and setup.

Here's Werks Radiation Screen: http://www.meteocercal.info/forum/Thread...696#pid696

And here's mine: http://www.meteocercal.info/forum/Thread...255#pid255

The DHT22 and SHT1x sensors can be up to 5 metres away.

I hope this answers you PM and post Wink

The accuracy of the temperature / humidity readings is one of the most important aspects of a weather station.
It's an universal concept that any Temperature / Humidity sensor must be installed inside a effective radiation shield, placed in a well ventilated place.
