No worrys! I did check the voltage of each side against ground. The voltage was 0V for both R8 and R15 on the side feeding into the EPS12 module . I will try reheating the welds.

Considering the situation maybe this is a good sign. Perhaps those two resistors are broken. Can you measure them? They should be both 10K.

I went ahead and checked all the resistors on the board. I found 3 bad ones. R8 & R15 are measuring around 1K instead of 10K and R16 is measuring 5.5K instead of 10k. 

I'm not sure what I did to cause this, but obviously the damage has been done. I will replace them and report back.

Hold on. That is quite strange.
What is the number imprinted on R8, R15? All should be 103. Can you post a picture of your board?
Measuring R16 in the circuit should give a value of 5.5K or 5.6K, so it is correct.
I checked all the Pro2 PLUS boards I still have from the same batch and all have the correct resistors. Even if those resistor are wrongly 1K, they don't cause the damage of the WiFi module.

You may haven't did anything wrong, it never happened before but there is also the possibility that the WiFi module was faulty from factory.

R8 and R15 are both imprinted with 103. See pictures below.

Hi Adam,

That could be the cause of the constant blue led.
Let's check something else to try to find why those pins aren't at the required level. Can you please do the following procedure:

- Measure voltage on both sides of R8 and R15. It should also be 3.3V
- Check continuity between both sides of R8 and any point with 3.3V
- Voltage at C7

The voltage drop across R8 and R15 was 3.3V (0 volts on the EPS12 side). Voltage at C7 is 3.3V. I don't not have voltmeter cable of checking continuity at the moment.

Sorry for my poor English. I doesn't mean voltage drop across the two resistors, but checking voltage on both sides of R8 and R15 against GND.
If voltage at C7 is 3.3V, ignore the continuity check suggested above.
Anyway we are narrowing the possibilities.

Having 3.3V (in relation to GND) on both sides of R8 and R15, then the GPIO0 and CH_PD pins (respectively) of the WiFi module should also be at 3.3V level. If not, later check continuity between R8 and GPIO0, and R15 and CH_PD pins.

Have you tried reheating the welding points of the WiFi module?

I have recently completed building the Pro2+ Rx board and have the same problem of the COM LED coming on after boot up and staying lit continuously, with no connection through to the LAN. 
Have checked the points mentioned above and the only things that appear wrong are the voltages on either side of R8 at 3.3V & 2.0V. GPIO0 pin is also at 2.0V. R8 is 9.9kΩ

Hello Ian,

I'm sad to know about your problem. By the symptoms most probably the WiFi modue is faulty. It's hard to say if the fault was caused by something, or if it is factory faulty module.
That board was been sent 3 months ago, anyway you can send it back, and I will replace the WiFi module at no cost. If this is a good solution to you, please send me a PM, and I will send you the return address.

Is everything else working?
