Hi all

I've just been through the process of getting both the Pro2 Plus and Pro2 Compact receivers working well with Weewx software. As Werk will attest there has been some hair pulling and frustration - especially on his part. I certainly appreciate the time he has taken to help me out, even though I'm sure he nearly excommunicated me at one stage 

If anyone is going down that route and would like any help then please give me a shout here and I'll see what I can assist with. I'm continuing to develop and fine tune my system so it may be that there are still areas I haven't got sorted, but I'm more than happy to brain-storm.

Maybe we can write a manual for the configuration option an hints.
I had that idea anyway to document all changes for myself, if I have to setup the system again.
Maybe you can check it and add some comments.

After our private conversation, just to check if there are any problem betwwen WeeWx and WeatherDuino,  I decided to install a test system running weewx on a PI3.
I didn't found any problem, it worked since first try, and continues working without any glitch since 12 January.

As suggested for a Pro2 Compact, I'm using:  record_generation = software

Hi Caneira

Since we have sorted the last of the hiccups I have found no problems at all. I'm now using the compact RX connected to the Weewx Pi (also using 'software' as you suggested) and all is going very well  I haven't found any times of lost data or anything that doesn't appear to record properly. At some stage I will change my UV sensor to the veml6075 type, but for now everything appears just fine.

Many thanks again for your help and patience in getting it all working together.
