Pro2 Plus issue maybe
#1

Hi All

My pro2+ has been running flawlessly on a remote site about 300km from here so its only accessable when I go there. This past couple of weeks the wind direction has stopped and the dew point is wildly intermittant as can be seen today  and further back in the history . The wind direction stopped on the 24th of May and the dew point started going crazy at times on the 26th of May.  A question for Werk maybe unless someone else has seen this.
I have a Davis sensor pack hooked to it so I am trying to decide if I have maybe a intermittant cable connector from the sensor pack to the TX board. The issue is though these I think are on different cables. The wind speed and temp is working well You can see here on Wunderground the daily reporting

https://www.wunderground.com/personal-we...44#history

I am heading up there next weekend so just thought I would ask to see if I need to take crimpers and plugs etc or does it maybe just all need a reboot as there maybe some corruption somewhere?...Has anyone had any intermittant operation on these sensors after a few months of 24/7 operation

I've seen these types of problem before but I don't have the Davis sensors (as I'm cash poor).
My dew problem was due to the humidity side of my SHT11 sensor going crook and replacement fixed it. The temperature side was unaffected though.
My wind problem was due to my anemometer cups going missing. I suspect a bird took off with them as they were never found since.

So I guess the moral of my story here is to have some spare parts on hand before venturing off .

Hi,

I am going to suggest looking at the humidity side of your sensor also. I am still running my SHT10 with a failed humidity side as I am still waiting for the replacement module (and spare) to arrive. I see you do have humidity readings dropping out to 0% in your Underground history.

Mine slowly drifted further apart from the official readings a few suburbs over and to those of my neighbours. Then it failed rapidly where most of the time it does not register, and intermittently comes back. Temperature side is still spot on. Naturally my dew point readings are useless.

Thanks for the reponses... I didnt think that the weathervane could be gone...thats a clue and as you suggest maybe the humidty sensor has crapped itself...just 2 days apart seemed like there could be something common. I will know more when I get there I suppose

Wing speed and direction is the most important usage for me at the site
