I'm afraid that's not so linear. The Extra Sensors data field is of 1 byte, but there is an fixed offset of 90ºF, to allow representing negative temperatures. So, for 0º F, the byte should have a value of 90º F. Consult the Davis Vantage Serial Protocol documentation.

Being very honest, adding any type of sensor to the Davis Emulation, that isn't a Temp / Hum sensor (extra sensors are designed for Temp / Hum sensors) its a nighmare, and always will have serious problems or limitations, per example, units will always be shown as ºC ou ºF, in Cumulus or any other software.
