It rained a little yesterday so I got to see how the FO rain bucket performed compared to my existing weather station.
My AW weather station recorded 0.21" of rain. The FO rain bucket connected to my WeatherDuino measured 0.12" of rain, almost 50% less. My Ambient Weather weather station detected the rain first and it measured more rain than the FO rain bucket up on the roof with the wind instruments. It was windy so I can see how less rain would be read higher up.
I am going to extend the cable of the FO rain bucket and move it lower and near my AW weather station rain bucket. Hopefully there it will read closer to what my other weather station is reading.
So I'll be moving the rain bucket, but keeping it connected to the same TX1. The cable will be about 35ft long to reach the new location.
