Yes it was great to see it all working. Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this project.
I had some problems getting the rx unit to hook up with cumulus on my server. I could get it to work on my win7 desktop machine but It would not work on my win 7 server computer. Tried different drivers, even installed the arduino programmer and it could connect to and program the nano but cumulus refused to connect .
Wasted half of Sunday getting it sorted. In the end tried a different nano and it worked first go. No idea what was up there but it is now working, that's the main thing. Love the look of the steel gauges.
I decided to gut my old wmr968 temp sensor and use that housing for my sht-10. I know it will not be as good as a proper shield but it will allow me to get the station installed a bit faster for now. i will make sure the temp sensor is mounted in a shady area. Perhaps later I will look at building something better.
Here is the housing with the new temp sensor mounted
I also picked up a box for the tx unit. I will be mounting mine inside a shed so do not need a waterproof type. Got this one from jaycar.
I did a walk around with the tx unit to test for range and was pleasantly surprised by how far i could get before i lost the connection. Got a lot better range than my wmr968 ever did.
