Data logger IC
#1

Hi,
Me again, with another query, I have been looking at the Datalogger as I am interested in this, because I cant always leave my Pc on. So this would be good for me, I am assuming that when it is sorted, that when your pc is turned on and you have cumulus up and running, you can download the data stored to the cumulus programme.

I am there fore wondering why there are a few different IC part numbers listed in the different RX board part lists,

I have the v4.03 RX board and I have noticed that the IC listed for that board : AT45DB011D-SSH-B only has 1mb memory capacity.

The IC on the parts list I have for the v4.02 RX board is a : AT45DB161D which has a 16mb memory capacity.

I have also been looking around and found an IC : AT45DB041E-SSHN-B which has a 4mb capacity.

I am just wondering if there is a specific reason for the use of the 1mb IC on the v4.03 RX board or can a chip of the same family with a higher capacity be used ?

Regards
Tyntop.
