I am going to start with Didcot (one of my instrument Sets) and then populate with other manufacturers.

I hope this may be useful for new builders as well as those considering an upgrade or change.

Hi I acquired a I.C.I. 'scrap' Didcot weather station around 2002 and had it on my roof for about 5 years - I liked the indication in DOS especially when the wind changed it developed the green tail. It had no barometric pressure sensor, but around the time it packed in I had managed to alter the programme to display pressure but could never find a 'solid state strain gauge' as mentioned on the Didcot web site that now seems to be removed.
I still have the associated 'datataker' manuel and some programme floppys, but the sensor array ended up in the skip.
Heres a shot of the display

Hi,

Do you have any documentation for the Didcot? A set of scanned documents would be appreciated. It is a shame the sensors went to a skip they work well with Weatherduino and are very well made.
Here is mine:
Thats great to see the photo and the pictures in the manuals you have posted - like seeing an old friend!
The only things I have are the data taker manual & some De Logger program floppys also the floppys for the software programme which I think is what you use to see the display in dos on your pc...one says 'with rainfall' as if it was added later so may be other versions depending on your setup. There is a printout of the programme also.
You are welcome to it all if you think it would be of use.
The sensors were quite corroded aluminium but is was the screw together connectors that may have been the problem - it was about the time I was retiring (early!) and I gave the bits to a bloke at work that may have been interested but think he was just humouring me.....havent seen him in the decade since....
I still have the rain gauge collector top - the ss cylinder is now part of my apple scratter, and the funnel is a hood on a bird feeder!!
