Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wouldn't this mean that if there's a power failure and once resolved, the init process will not complete until the TX receives a single pulse from the rain gauge and reports it to RX?

Hello J.Jantti,

The TX unit counts every pulse from the rain gauge and stores this value (its a 32 bit counter so don't worry about overflow). No matter its raining or not, the value of this counter is sent to the receiver every 31 seconds. So in the event of a power failure, once power is restored everything will initialize fine.
