I understand your point. That is one of the reasons why we are very careful about the TX software, in order to not require frequent updates. In the last five to six years only a few versions had been released (less than one per year). Even those who never upgraded the TX software, still have their systems working.
Answering directly to your question, currently there isn't any plan to produce a new TX unit with WiFi capabilities which will allow OTA upgrades.
