Personally I would not pay much attention for these led resistor values. Led might be a bit more brighter or darker, if you need to change it later. 1k is working well, as well as recommended 360. Important thing is to have resistor there, without it s... will happend. Pads are indeed quite small, resoldering might not work at all.
