Since we have sorted the last of the hiccups I have found no problems at all. I'm now using the compact RX connected to the Weewx Pi (also using 'software' as you suggested) and all is going very well
I haven't found any times of lost data or anything that doesn't appear to record properly. At some stage I will change my UV sensor to the veml6075 type, but for now everything appears just fine.
