Hi,
I got this odd reading in the PM2.5 field and a AQI of zero. If I reboot it comes good for an indeterminate time and the n comes back. Most annoying
Any ideas anyone?
Regards
Jim

Can you please tell which software version are you using?
Thank you.

RE: AQ monitor_odd reading - dormani - 10-02-2018

I am having a similar experience using AQ software 7.0 b007. I started experiencing this when I moved the monitor outside and placed under our pergola. It has been extremely hot here over the last month so I am wondering if this may be the cause. The pergola is partially enclosed and runs a couple of degrees hotter than outside.
Regards
Ian

It is now happening every time I boot the AQ monitor, so i changed the sensor and it gives the same response on the serial monitor shown below. I find it difficult to believe I have two faulty sensors bought some months apart.

Hi,
I re downloaded the software from the website and all is now good. My laptop which I usually use for WeatherDuino is in for repair and I have been using my desktop in the meantime.
Maybe that had something to do with it

RE: AQ monitor_odd reading - werk_ag - 10-02-2018

Hi,

Thank you both for reporting this issue.

The NaN error happens due to a division by zero when the PM2.5 readings are also zero. Getting PM2.5 readings equal to zero is a very unlikely situation. Despite of this I already did some changes on the AQM software to deal with that situation. The updated software (v7.10_b004) is already available for download.

Jim, as it seems you are getting frequent PM2.5 readings equal to zero, please check all the connections to the sensor. Verify if when you get the message "Waking up the PMS7003 dust sensor (40s)" the fan starts to spin.

Werk,
I ran the serial monitor and verified that the fan does spin at the "waking up sensor (40s)" (Code shown below)
I just noticed the latest software is available and will install it shortly
Thanks again for your prompt assistance,

Jim

RE: AQ monitor_odd reading - werk_ag - 10-02-2018

Thanks Jim,
Things improve with the users feedback.
Now, any PM2.5 reading equal to zero, will not cause the NaN error anymore.
