Could someone guide me with initial station settings for Cumulus MX. I am installing it on a Raspberry Pi 3

Hi,
Thanks for that I have read it but still have a few questions
TCP/IP settings
IP address ( Di I put in the address of the pi)
TCP port (22222 or change it to something else)
Disconnect period ??
Serial port name ??
Log interval ??
Log rollover 9am or midnight
I am OK with location etc and the rest

Is it possible to get the rest of the settings file?
Are you running your pi 24/7 or starting daily. I am sorry for the questions but I am new to Linux and Cumulux

and yes - the system is running continuously without reboots.
And here is my Cumulus.ini file (shorted and without credentials).

Hi Jim,

The time of day rollover is your choice, but I think that in your region the 9am rollover is the standard. No matter what option you choose don't forget to set the same value in your Config_RX settings.

Obviously the 9am changeover is a hangover from the past, when weather stations (rain gauges in particular) were monitored manually. I'm in Australia but I've set my weather station to rollover at midnight. I want to know how much rain fell on a certain day, not between 9am on one day and 9am on the next day.

BTW, I have 8998 as my TCP port setting.

Thanks for that I seem to have it sorted now, with the only issue the barometric pressure gauge only reads to 1050 and the local pressure is about 1018. Do you know if it can be altered in the .ini file or will go to the ss forum.

The fact that the CumulusMX pressure gauge shows a maximum scale value of 1050, is not an issue. In the unlikely case of the ATM at your location, rise above that value the gauge will adapt itself.
