You may have to cast your mind back awhile, The problem with the TMP36 was that the data output was different to the LM36 (LM36 can not read negative temperatures)

That problem was corrected since you discovered it long time ago.
Just in case, I have checked the last software release, and it's set for the TMP36. Is it not working for you?

It may have some other problem, but "read 70-ish" to me don't say nothing.
