Having no Pi experience I can't really tell how easy it is to install WeeWX on it.
I can nevertheless claim that the Debian package installation (should also work on Ubuntu, Mint and derivatives) is pretty straight forward and flawless. Also, the installation of extensions/new functionality is subsequently much easier. Does CumulusMX architecture provide some sort of plug-ins mechanism?
