Gooday all,
A search returned no answers to this, I read here that the logger is optional, but is the display?

The system can run without any display. Just select an LCD display (to not automatically disable the logger function), and don't install it.
Anyway I think, that at least a small 16x2 LCD is a handy tool for a fast checking of system operationality.

If you mean if the display functions can be totally disabled in the software, currently the answer is no.
