Some of the electronic parts may be available from European sellers, but the cheapest way to get them, is buying from Chinese sellers on eBay.

I have completed both tx and receiver modules. I am now looking for suitable enclosures to take each of these boards. Most likely I will continue the project by going solar with powering up the tx so need to find a suitable box to house pcb, battery and inverter. As far as the receiving board is concerned I need to source a box with a clear lid. I am using the standard LCD display. Can someone point me to where I can purchase suitable enclosures at a
reasonable price, preferably something that they have found suitable for their project. Live in Australia. Thanks.

Mikko used an enclosure like this one for
her RX unit:
Search on eBay for Waterproof Clear Plastic Electronic, you will find a lot with prices around $6

I have one of these enclosures coming for my outdoor unit incl battery and solar controller

TBH enclosures are a pain, especially to nicely integrate something for a display. I like what Mikko did and is likely similar to what I will do.

Hi, I just bought one from Altronics Part No H0364A. It is IP65 rated which means it will keep out dust and moisture. It was AUD$53.95 and is 250x200x130. I am working on installing the Tx unit, fan, sealed battery as I type this. I have installed some cable glands which should are also IP rated to allow the cables from the sensors to enter the enclosure. Not much I can do about the fan though so have mounted it on the sheltered side of the enclosure.

I am considering a box like this one to setup my Tx section, also solar powered:

I have already used a 300 x 250 x 150mm box for a remote solar powered sensor light I setup very successfully. In fact my Tx board is propped up in it right now on extended test literally because that was the most convenient battery (9ah) supply available. A 40 watt panel keeps the system charged and running year round.
I notice you mentioned an inverter. Did you mean to say charge controller instead? The Tx will run on 12 volts, so you can save space and power on the inverter

That seems to be a really good box. Good choice.

Just a note: The fan control provided by the TX unit, is intended to control the Radiation Shield fan, where you will install the outside temperature / humidity sensor.

I missed that. Thought it was for the Tx enclosure. Never mind.
