Calibration of Air Quality Monitor CO2 Sensor -
Zack_ster - 07-06-2020
Hi All,
Do any of you have any experience in calibrating the MH-Z19B CO2 sensor. Mine is used outside and the Automatic Baseline Correction (ABC) is disabled in the Arduino Sketch. However, it now consistently reads 200ppm over the published current atmospheric CO2 values. Before I do more experimentation, I thought I would ask here to see if anyone here has done any calibration of the sensor?
Any help is much appreciated,
Zak

Hi Zak,
Usually at each six months, I do what the manufacturer call, fresh air Zero Point calibration.
If you are running latest AQM II software, as long as it have WiFi connection, you can do it even without having to remove the sensor from where it is installed.
Point your browser to AQM II IP address with this command:
Code:
http://AQMII IP ADDRESS//SetCO2zeropoint
Your sensor should be exposed to fresh air for at least 20 minutes, before doing a ZeroPoint calibration.
Rgs.

Hi Werk_AG,
Unfortunately I'm still running the 1st generation AQM without Wifi. Is there a way of doing the same thing manually?
Kind regards,
Zak

Yes, there is.
CO2 sensor HD pin to LOW (GND) during 10 seconds. Avoid breathing to the sensor during calibration procedure.
