Strange rain figures - daveh - 08-07-2019

I have been seeing some very high rain figures on my PRO2 system sometimes so today I did some testing.
I poured water into the Fine Offset gauge until it had tipped three times.

CumulusMX showed 0.8 mm of rain as I would expect but the Weatherduino wireless receiver and the wireless display both show 18340.0 mm.

In the CumulusMX log I see this.

Any idea what is going on please.

Seems the total rain counter on the receiver is out of sync with the total rain counter of the TX unit where the rain gauge is connected.
Usually a Factory Reset solves this issue. Shut down Cumulus, and press the RX Push Button for 5 seconds. The receiver should reboot, after the initialization complete, start Cumulus again.

TX and RX software versions?

Thank you. I did the factory reset and it is now working normally again. I will keep a close watch on it for a while. Have you any idea why the two counts would go out of sync? Is it something I could have done?

Software versions.

A change of the Arduino Nano on the TX unit without a factory reset on the receiver is the most frequent cause of this issue.

The software versions you are using were are from a software package released on 2018-03-27. The latest software package for the Pro2 system is dated of 2019-04-13.
If possible, try to upgrade the software of your units to latest release.
Important: First upgrade the TX unit, then the RX. After upgrade, and before connecting Cumulus, do a Factory Reset on the RX.

Thanks for pointing out the later version of the software. I haven't managed to find any announcement about it in the forums and the download itself doesn't include a changelog. Is there a changelog somewhere to cover the differences between my current software and the later version?
