No it's covered with a piece of solar glas.

Hello everyone,
Finally, I climbed onto the roof to check my sun sensors. The solar panel is after 1 year so faded that it is no wonder that it couldn't measure anything
I tried to clean and protect with the nano foam, but it did not help much
Now, still waiting for the new operational amplifiers 822 - in my pilot device I destroyed it. After repair I'll swap the old sensors with new ones. I hope it will be better, as protection from the beginning I used nano foam.
Regards

Hi Zdenek,
Thanks for sharing your experience, hope it helps others that are now starting to build their Solar / UV sensors.
Without protection, the resin on top of solar cell don't resist for more than a winter. A thin glass placed directly on top of the solar cell, will make it last for several years and have no impact on the readings (don't leave space between the solar cell and the glass). After that, cleaning the glass one or two times a year is all what is needed.
