I think you should check your anemometer, specially the cable, you are getting too frequent spikes. Usually spikes are of great value, this is why in V2.0 software, the anti-spike routine, only tries to determine if the reading is a spike if it is greater than 50 Km/h (~13.9m/s).
Anyway on next software update, there will be the possibility to choose between two anti-spike methods. The currently used in V2.0, and the one used in v1.5 software.

My anometer is a brand new Davis 6410. I'll check it if i have chance to bring it down.
I currently use V2.0 software on the RX unit with V1.5 wind gust spike control.
Thanks for this option in next build.
I'm also waiting for a dry day to install a new Davis rain gauge.

Roughly how long is your cable..? And what type of wire..? May give us some clues... If I recall, the 6410 is a resistive type sensor, at about 20k. Maybe the resistance on the line is climbing too high, and giving erroneous readings...? Dunno, just a thought, and trying to help....

I managed to build a second RX on a breadboard(just a nano, a RX module and a LCD) connected to my laptop with CMX.

I'm using the cable provided with Davis anemometer .
