I'm sure this has been discussed lots of times across lots of threads, but none jumped immediately out in my searching. What's the current thoughts about choosing one or the other ?
The BMP180 chip replaces the BMP085. The good news is that it is completely identical to the BMP085 in terms of firmware/software - which means it can be read using the same code (library) than the BMP085.
However Bosch claims it is more precise than BMP085.

These ones will work great with WeatherDuino Pro2 (put voltage selector jumper at 5V position):

awesome, thanks. Upshot is BMP180 should be "preferred" since it's cheaper and more accurate.

That's right! The BMP180 is the right choice now!
Production of the BMP085 was discontinued, so its price have raised.
