A silly question - Can some one please advise what the Fan on the TX board is used for as I can find no info on its use within the forum

Under certain circumstances installing a fan on the Radiation Shield may improve the precision of the Temperature / Humidity readings. Most of the times there are no benefits in having the Fan running all the time.
The TX software allows you to control the conditions where to turn the Fan ON or OFF.
Okay that explains are there any pics of were and how you might fit this fan

Steve, where and how you might fit a fan will depend on how each individual plans and builds their own station and the hardware they use. Googling "Fan Assisted (or Aspirated) Radiation Shield" - they're generally referred to as "FARS" - will produce a lot of results, as an example just one of which is:

You might like to search this forum too, I'm sure a few members have posted details and photos of their designs.
