wunderground AQI
#1

It appears that wunderground now features an Air Quality figure on each individual weather station's forecast page. I am curious if the WeatherDuino will upload its AQI directly to wunderground?

For example, this persons forecast page shows an AQI rating but I cannot figure out whether he actually has an AQI monitor or not? https://www.wunderground.com/weather/us/...tyforecast

Yes, WeatherDuino already send PM2.5 and AQI data to WU, however and despite they already are accepting those kind of data from personal weather stations, they aren't displayed anywhere in their pages yet. I don't know if ever they will show them, this is why we also can send them to ThingSpeak and create our own graphics.
Here are some examples from users of the WeatherDuino Air Quality Monitor:

All AQI data currently shown on WU pages, and mostly available only for some cities on the USA, come from official stations (that info is there).

I might try to email them and ask why they aren't displaying the AQI from WeatherDuino stations equipped with an AQI monitor.

Danner, who did you send your email to?
I sent one to Bob Henson a few weeks back but never heard anything back.

It'll be interesting to see the results of the AQI once I build it.

For the most part the surrounding geography near me is flat, but, my neighborhood is slightly elevated compared to the surrounding areas by about 25ft or so higher. Because of that we tend to get a lot of temperature inversions, easily confirmed by comparing the temperatures nearby. When an inversion is in I can smell exhaust from vehicles, and during the cooler months the wood burned in fireplaces. So it should be neat to see the AQI fluctuate during the inversions. Sounds like it should be neat!
