Purpose of R6 on TX v3.12 board
#1

Hi All,
I have looked through the threads and cant find any reference to the purpose of R6 (20k ohm variable) on the tx board, and how it should be adjusted when commissioning the system when I finally get all the parts.
I cant access the schematics, which doesn’t really help in my system build Sad
Perhaps I have missed something but none of the documentation I have found helps with the build, and details the purpose and function of components.
I have a fully built RX, so hopefully this will be easy, but my TX board needs full assembly.
Perhaps someone who has a working system may be able to save me some time and guesswork.

Thanks in advance,
Bob.

Hi Bob.

The 20k variable R6 is used to help dampen the sometimes erratic readings of Fine Offset (aka Maplin etc.) wind direction sensors:

I *think* from memory that it should be set pretty close to midpoint, i.e. 10k if using a Fine Offset type sensor but I can't find the post which refers to adjustment. I'm sure someone else will be able to give the details if needed...

Hope that helps.

Allan.

Hi Bob

As Allan said, R6 on TX v3.12 board should be set as close as possible to 10K.
Regarding the schematics, I sent you a PM, please check your inbox.
