Based on a fast 32 bit microcontroller (Tensilica L106) the Pro2 Compact is the fastest performer among the WeatherDuino receivers.
On the video bellow you can see how fast it draws each data screen

  • It consumptions so little energy that it can be powered directly through the USB port (even an Raspberry PI USB port).
  • If you only want to upload your weather data to a Wunderground weather page, it can do it through your WiFi connection. There is no need to have a computer running 24 hours a day.
  • Unit is supplied fully assembled, tested and ready to use. Everything is included: TFT, Atmospheric Pressure sensor (Bosh BME280), Temperature / Humidity sensor, 433Mhz receiver module, etc.
  • Very compact unit. The receiver board was designed to have the same size of the 2.8" TFT board, it is like a backpack.
  • Software updates can be done via OTA. In most cases doesn't even require to first close the weather software (tested with CumulusMX).
  • And of course, compatible with any already existing Transmitter unit.

Never was so easy, quick and cheap having an WeatherDuino weather station.
Released today:

WeatherDuino Pro2 Compact v2.0 - Release date: 2018-12-24

Important upgrade notes:

* Due to several changes introduced on the new software, on first run after upgrading, the unit will auto perform a factory reset, which will reset the rain counters. So, if you do the upgrade in a rainy day, you will loose the Today Rain values.
Hint: Do the upgrade in a day where there isn't raining, or do it right after the start of your meteorological day (usually 00h00 or 09:00 for AU and NZ users)

* The RadioHead library was changed to the Teensy version, which is compatible with the previous RadioHead library, but includes some improvements that may be needed in a near future. Recommendation is doing a backup the old RadioHead library and replace it by the new one included in the software package.

WeatherDuino Pro2 Compact v1.2 - Release date: 2018-08-05

* added WiFi data broadcast capability
* added capability to receive Temperature / Humidity data from up to four WiFi Wireless Display units (Requires that each unit have an local T/H sensor installed)
* added two simulated Led's on the Big Clock window which shows RF receiving and USB communication state.
* Several other enhancements.
